Lenovo Mobile Expands Influence Over Mobile TV Market

(July 15)--Lenovo Mobile Communication Technology Ltd. announced yesterday in Beijing that it has signed an agreement with CCTV.com, China’s only institution with the right to broadcast the Olympics Games, and youku.com, China’s largest video sharing website, under which CCTV.com will become Lenovo Mobile’s mobile television content provider. In addition, Lenovo Mobile Communication Technology will embed CCTV.com’s mobile television software and youku.com’s content in its mobile phones. Lv Yan, president and CEO of Lenovo Mobile Communication Technology, disclosed that in the future the company will cooperate with CCTV.com on mobile video and embedded content in mobile phones as well as on mobile video downloading and internet videos with youku.com.
