China to Form Blu-ray DVD Industrial Chain

(May 28)--During the 11th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo that was held yesterday, the chairman of the Blu-ray Disc Association and director of Panasonic’s Storage Business Strategy Office, disclosed that eleven Chinese enterprises, including TCL Corporation, China Hualu Group Co., Ltd., Desay Corporation and Wanlida Group Co., Ltd., have obtained the patent authorization from the Association to research, develop, manufacture and sell blu-ray DVD players, discs and optical drives. Given the recent trend of more and more Chinese enterprises participating in the manufacture of blu-ray DVD products, China is set to establish a large blu-ray DVD industrial chain soon.
